Native ASAM MDF4 Recording

Eliminate Data Conversion from Your Workflow

The DLX records directly to the industry-standard ASAM MDF4 format, eliminating proprietary conversion steps and making recorded data immediately available for analysis. Whether you're reviewing a single test or managing large collections of recordings across multiple projects, MDF4 provides a consistent, portable format that simplifies storage, collaboration, and post-processing.

Instead of exporting proprietary files and converting them before analysis, engineers can immediately begin reviewing recordings in ATI VISION Data Analyzer or other MDF-compatible software.

For organizations managing thousands of recordings across multiple projects, recording directly in MDF4 helps reduce processing time while simplifying long-term data management.

Built for Real Vehicle Testing

Compact Enough for Tight Installations

Vehicle development rarely leaves extra room for instrumentation. The DLX's compact footprint makes installation easy in production vehicles, prototype builds, engine compartments, and test fixtures where larger systems may not fit.

Rugged Protection

The IP65-rated enclosure protects the electronics from dust and water spray, making the DLX suitable for demanding automotive development environments.

Removable Storage

Industrial SDHC memory cards allow recordings to be collected quickly without connecting a laptop or interrupting testing.

Wide Operating Range

Designed to operate from -40°C to +85°C, the DLX performs reliably in hot, cold, and demanding test environments.

One Device, Multiple Measurement Systems

Rather than installing separate hardware for ECU communication, instrumentation, and logging, the DLX combines these capabilities into one compact platform.

Vehicle Networks

Communicate with ECUs over two CAN 2.0B channels, K-Line, and LIN while recording synchronized measurement data.

Analog Measurements

Acquire high-resolution differential and single-ended voltage measurements from sensors, transducers, and instrumentation with 16-bit resolution.

Temperature Monitoring

Record temperatures using four integrated K-type thermocouple channels for thermal development and validation.

Digital Signals

Monitor switch states or control external devices using four configurable digital input/output channels.

Flexible Data Storage

The DLX records directly to a removable SDHC memory card, allowing data to be collected without a connected PC. Each unit includes a 16 GB industrial-grade Class 10 SDHC card, and recordings are stored natively in the ASAM MDF4 v4.1 file format for immediate access and analysis.

Recordings can be retrieved by removing the SDHC card or by connecting the DLX to a computer through USB, where it functions as a standard USB card reader. Because files are stored directly in MDF4 format, they can be opened immediately in VISION Data Analyzer or other compatible MDF4 analysis software without proprietary conversion.

Works Seamlessly with the ATI Software Ecosystem

The DLX Data Logger is designed to work seamlessly with ATI's software ecosystem, supporting the complete testing workflow from system configuration and ECU communication to data acquisition and post-test analysis. Together, DLX, VISION, and VISION Data Analyzer create an efficient, end-to-end solution for collecting, managing, and analyzing measurement data.

VISION Calibration and Data Acquisition Software

Configure. Communicate. Acquire.

VISION is the primary interface for configuring and operating the DLX Data Logger. Engineers can configure logging parameters, set up analog and digital measurements, communicate with vehicle ECUs, perform calibration, and monitor live data from a single application.

During testing, VISION synchronizes ECU variables with data acquired from the DLX's analog, thermocouple, and digital inputs, allowing all measurements to be recorded together in a single ASAM MDF4 file. This unified workflow simplifies setup while ensuring data remains synchronized throughout the test.

With VISION, you can:
  • Configure DLX hardware and logging settings

  • Communicate with vehicle ECUs using CAN, K-Line, and LIN

  • Perform ECU calibration and data acquisition

  • Monitor live measurements during testing

  • Record synchronized ECU and instrumentation data directly to ASAM MDF4

VISION Data Analyzer (VDA)

Analyze. Compare. Share.

Once testing is complete, recordings generated by the DLX can be opened directly in VISION Data Analyzer (VDA). Because the DLX records natively in the ASAM MDF4 format, files can be analyzed immediately without proprietary conversion or intermediate processing.

VDA provides powerful tools for visualizing, comparing, and navigating recorded data, making it easy to review vehicle performance, investigate events, correlate multiple signals, and share standardized analysis projects across engineering teams.

With VDA, you can:
  • Open DLX recordings directly from ASAM MDF4 files

  • Visualize large, multi-channel data sets

  • Compare multiple recordings side by side

  • Navigate signals using graphs, cursors, and markers

  • Create reusable analysis layouts and reports

Open ASAM MDF4 Compatibility

Your Data. Your Choice.

The DLX records directly in the industry-standard ASAM MDF4 format, giving engineers the flexibility to work beyond the ATI software ecosystem when required. Recordings can be archived, exchanged with customers or suppliers, or opened in other MDF4-compatible analysis applications without requiring proprietary conversion utilities.

Native MDF4 recording simplifies collaboration between organizations while preserving valuable measurement data and metadata for long-term use.

Benefits include:
  • Industry-standard file format

  • No proprietary conversion utilities

  • Easier collaboration with customers and suppliers

  • Long-term accessibility of recorded data

  • Compatibility with MDF4-capable analysis software
